The LGRC’s Integrated Library Management System (ILMS) is composed of :
-
A network of physical libraries hosted by the Local Government Academy and DILG Regional LGRC
-
A web based library system that is composed of an Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC), and a Digital Collection
Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC)
The OPAC is a web-based, single holding or collection of all materials in the network of physical libraries, as well as the electronic/digital materials in the Digital Collection. It has an Online Borrowing and Reporting System that manages personalized borrowers’ accounts and keeps track of borrowers’ transactions (number of books borrowed, reserved, overdue, etc.). The system also generates administrator’s reports such as status of library holdings, most frequently borrowed books, newly cataloged materials and others.
The OPAC is a customized version of PhPMyLibrary, an online library database system developed by a Filipino programmer using open source technology. It’s cataloguing, circulation and OPAC search modules are consistent with USMARC and CDS/ISIS standards.

Digital Collection
The Digital Collection makes available to users a whole range of digitized materials on local governance such as text in PDF format, images/photos, audio and video files. Materials in the digital collection are also cataloged in and may be accessed from the OPAC.
The Digital Collection is a customized version of the Greenstone Digital Library, an open source suite of software developed by the New Zealand Digital Library Project of the University of Waikato.
